Having troubles with Chan_mobile...try something different

 

 

  • Flash Operator Panel 2 has been released from the original author of Flash Operator Panel. A "free" version is available for small  systems, with and unlimited version available for $US40. Version 2 is a more professional looking product.

  • AvantFax is a Web Based front end for Hylafax for both incoming and outgoing faxing. Ramoncio has packaged an RPM for Elastix users, making it relatively easy to install. We will look to put up a small tutorial soon on installing, but in the meantime, the instructions in the Elastix Lists are quite easy to follow.

  • Chan_mobile continues to frustrate many users (including us), so in the meantime, if you need a gateway product that does a similar task, then the Gempro 710/712 is a great little device. It connects via SIP, and communicates to generally any phone that has bluetooth, allowing you to use it as a trunk with Elastix. We will put up a tutorial soon, but in the meantime, instructions are in the Elastix Forums , which others have followed and got it working. The units are priced from $US180, but work extremely well.

  • Elastix 1.6 is in beta and so far all testing seems to work well. No major new features, but installation issues with some Sangoma cards appear to be resolved.
